The food was ok ,but the person that served me with the bad clothing i did'ent like how he spoke to me when i sed i book a table for 2 no need to be sarcastic, i would of walk out but it was my wife birthday ,and watch out for thier high service charge,

I had a pizza which was absolutely delicious and massive. The crust was beautiful.
The service was mediocre at best. The server seemed completely disinterested. We weren't asked if we wanted fresh drinks or if we wanted the desert menu. We also had to ask for the bill while staff were standing at the bar on their phones.
All that and a £13 service charge which we paid to save face.
As for the atmosphere, the place itself has a cosy vibe, but it's a very compact building, so the tables are very close together, so you're basically sitting with other people.

Our group of 7 celebrated Xmas eve in Don Alberto and we were not disappointed. Great service, superb food and all reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect quaint restaurant.very cosy atmosphere food was out of this world.me and my daughter had ribs meatballs starter.mains I had prawn risotto made by Tony and bek and the team.absolute experience from walking in the door to leaving.alberto at front of house and kieron was amazing.honestly worth the drive (1hr each way)PERFECTO👌👌👌

i absolutely love this place it is my all time favourite. the food is delicious, the waiters and waitresses are lovely and polite and the building itself is gorgeous. i went there for my birthday and they were so sweet gave me desert on the house and sang happy birthday. it’s in a lovely little village and everywhere is so tranquil- especially later at night. i consistently go back to alberto’s because how lovely a place it is. this is my favourite restaurant i’ve ever been to and highly recommend as the food is delicious and affordable

Beautiful little restaurant with lots of charm. Chef personally came out to serve us our food. Every member of staff was exceedingly friendly and attentive despite it being a busy Friday night. There is absolutely nothing I can fault. The service was fast, the food was incredible and authentic and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. 10/10 will absolutely be returning. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Opening hours say until 9pm on a Sunday and I walked in at 8.02pm. Was told the kitchen closed at 8.00pm although had called earlier and was told last orders were 8.30pm. Say no more 😣

Had a fabulous meal last night ! Lovely freshly cooked food for hungry party of 5. We are local, but visitors were really impressed with their meal and the friendly, efficient service. Great value and can't recommend highly enough. Atmosphere was very friendly and cosy.

We had a great meal at Don Alberto during an overnight stop in Holmes Chapel whilst travelling to the Lakes. Outstanding service was the highlight, the guys brought around water because it was such a warm evening and kept everyone topped up. Even offered to have our choice of music on since we were the last people dining in the evening. Meal itself was also brilliant, we had arancini starter and pizza and ravioli main. Couldn’t fault any of it - came in good time and tasted brilliant. They also do a nice house lager and good wine (not super expensive for either). Very reasonably priced everything considered. Would definitely return if I was in the area again.
